The Costs
The cost of a clearance varies for different reasons, size of property and the amount to be cleared being the obvious ones.
A general guide of how the cost is calculated.
If the property contents have no resale value, is cluttered or verminous, then we have to make a charge to cover our facilities and labour costs.
If some of the contents have a small resale value then we would agree a price with you and offset this against the house clearance cost.
If the property contains antiques or collectable's which have a high resale value, then we will agree on a price that we are both happy with and pay you for the items. Or, if you would prefer to auction any items of value, then we can arrange with you for the transport of any such items to the auction house.
Letting us do it. Or are thinking of doing it yourself? A skip is probably upwards of £225.00 for each skip hired. Plus a permit where necessary for each skip hired and you may need more than one or two skips. Especially, if you have large or bulky items, such as sofas and beds.
Also, there are many items excluded from being put into a skip, such as, TV's, fridges and freezers are just a few of them. Then of course there’s the equipment and time needed to complete the job as well.
